Jim thought that a parrot would be the perfect thing to keep his wife company when he was gone on the road. However, he never realized that Jenny the parrot would become attached to him and would want to go with him everywhere that he would go. That even meant that he would take her shopping with him, but that was not always a good thing.
Since Jenny would walk on his shoulder the entire time in every store she knew what exactly they were getting. Then later on when they would run into Kim, Jenny would look at her and tell her in a really loud voice exactly everything that they had gotten that day.
Jim thought that he had finally managed to get something past Jenny one day. However, he was quickly disappointed when he heard Jenny blabbing about the new mongoose mountain bike. He knew that she was ruining the surprise purchase of the day and that Kim would already know about the items that he had gotten.
Jim sat down and thought that at least he had managed to get the pearl izumi shorts into the bag without Jenny noticing. So he quietly walked into the room that Kim was in. He handed her the bag and knew that she liked the item and the surprise by the hug that he got after she seen what they were. Jim smiled on the inside while sticking his tongue out towards Jenny.
Jenny was not that happy though and started to yell at the top of her parrot voice at Jim. This managed to make Jim slightly angry and he decided that he would go shopping the next time without her. However, he knew that he had to trick her into staying home and the way to do that was to get her a new perch.
As Jenny was relaxing on the new perch a week later Jim slunked out of the house. Jenny never even knew he was gone so the surprise of the new diamondback bikes would be complete. He would not have to worry about Jenny blabbing to Kim about the new item that he was getting her that day.
When he walked back into the house an hour later Jenny was talking to Kim about him sneaking out. Kim smiled knowing that Jenny was not happy that he had managed to give her the slip. However, when she went out to the truck later on she was happy because he had built a special perch on the new items so she could come with them all the time now.
